MAINTENANCE
AGM type cyclic sealed batteries do not require special maintenance . A few precautions in daily use allow for greater durability and efficiency. It is advisable to subject the batteries to a complete charging cycle before first use . It is advisable to use a specific charger for Lead / Gel / AGM technology, checking that the current that can be supplied by it is compatible with the battery specifications . Batteries perform best under normal temperature conditions. Temperatures that are too low or too high can reduce the accumulator capacity, therefore it must be taken into account in case of use in unfavorable environmental conditions; if possible, it is recommended to charge the batteries in normal temperature conditions (approx. 20 ° C). In the event of long periods of inactivity, it is advisable to carry out a complete charge / discharge cycle at least once a month or to connect the battery to a battery charger for floating charge. During use it is recommended NOT to excessively discharge the battery . The highest deliverable current (and therefore the best performance) occurs when the voltage is between about 12.8V and 12.3V. If the voltage drops below this threshold, the performance decreases rapidly and the battery discharges quickly; at this point it is advisable to suspend its use and carry out a complete charge cycle. More batteries can be connected in series or in parallel in order to obtain a higher voltage or a higher capacity. It is recommended to make connections in series / parallel only with batteries of the same type, brand and state of wear.
