The Amprobe LM-100 is an instrument for measuring the visible light produced by fluorescent tubes, metal halide lamps, high pressure sodium or incandescent sources. It is a portable, easy-to-use tool designed for simple one-handed use. The reading can be done in Lumen (lux) or footcandle (fc). The LM-100 has a wide range of use (up to 200,000 lux) while maintaining a resolution of 0.01 lux.
Technical note:
A lux is the illumination given by a light source of 1cd (candle) that radiates perpendicularly on a surface of square meter at a distance of one meter. A fc is the illumination given by a light source of 1cd (candle) that radiates perpendicularly on a square foot surface at a distance of one foot.
The equivalence between the two units is given by the following proportion:
1fc = 10.764 Lux / 1 lux = 0.09290 fc
