HC-SR04 ultrasonic distance measurement module
The HC-SR04 module uses two ultrasonic capsules of which one capsule acts as a transmitter and the other as a receiver.
Very simple connection. Only 4 contacts:
- VCC power supply
- Trigger
- Echo
- GND ground
By sending a high pulse on the Trigger pin lasting at least 10 uS, the transmitter capsule will launch an audible ping that will be reflected by an obstacle.
The reflected sound wave will be picked up by the receiving capsule. On the Echo pin it will be returned, with a pulse proportional to the distance.
