This Lindy 100m Cat.6 HDMI 4K60, Audio, IR & RS-232 HDBaseT Extender is a reliable end-to-end complete solution for extending HDMI signals over long distances via Cat.6 network cable.
The following combinations of distance and resolution are possible when using high quality Cat.6 U / UTP or F / UTP cable:
- 100m: 1920x1080 @ 60Hz 4: 4: 4 8bit
- 70m: 3840x2160 @ 60Hz 4: 4: 4 8bit / 4: 2: 2 12bit
Supporting resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD, video content can be viewed with astonishing clarity, while additional support for HDR (High Dynamic Range) allows content to be viewed with greater brightness, greater black and white contrasts, and a range of much wider colors. This provides a reliable solution for creating eye-catching digital signage in retail, engaging displays at events or eye-catching setups in large conference rooms or auditoriums.
ARC support over HDMI allows audio content to be relayed from the display to a connected amplifier or soundbar, while local audio extraction allows the connection of audio outputs for a full multichannel signal. The incorporation of digital audio on the receiver side can also be used for the source audio, which can be easily switched via the button on the main unit.
Power over Cable (PoC) functionality provides additional flexibility. This allows power along with the data to be supplied through a Cat.6 network cable in a point-to-point connection between transmitter and receiver, which means that only one power supply on the transmitting unit is required. Ideal when power outlets are not easily accessible on the receiver side of the installation.
Equipped with bidirectional IR ports on both sides, the source can be easily controlled from the display side, and the display can also be controlled from the HDMI source side. Combined with the CEC control, which allows you to manage commands from a single main remote control, this extension system allows complete and easy control for the user. Bi-directional RS-232 and Ethernet ports also allow integration into larger control systems, or connection to network switches and hubs with LAN access.
Additionally, the power supply is connected via a screw-in DC jack, providing a more reliable and firm connection, perfect for professional installations where accidental disconnections could create a big problem.
HDBaseT is a globally recognized standard for high-quality distribution of AV content and other signals, including power and control, over longer distances via low-cost Cat.6 or higher cable.
