Lindy 38266 HDMI 4K & USB Over IP Extender (transmitter only)
With this 4K Over IP Extender it is possible to send a 4K video signal from a source such as a PC or PVR through a Gigabit network with also the possibility to manage other control signals and USB. The transmitter can be connected to one or more receivers (Art. 38267 - not included) to create a point-to-point installation at a maximum distance of 100m (393ft). By connecting it to multiple receivers, it is possible to control the device from different consoles or create a Video Wall configuration using a dedicated Gigabit network (with 8kB Jumbo frame support) passing through a switch in the same private network.
In addition to the HDMI audio signal, this unit can handle 2 additional audio channels (1 x Line out from source and 1 for microphone to connect to the receiver) and optical SPDIF signal on the receiver to connect a digital audio amplifier or other devices.
This HDMI Over IP extender system also supports bidirectional IR signals (20-60Khz) for managing infrared remote controls.
It is the typical solution for the management of security systems (PVR or control room), remote server administration (through KVM functions) but also for AV over IP applications for the distribution of high resolution video signals. Another very useful application is the creation of Video Walls (up to a maximum of 16x16 monitors) very common in retail environments and for digital signage.
