Using immersion electrodes, the testo 606-2 reliably detects the moisture in wood and building materials. Using the material characteristic curves, the instrument can display the moisture of the materials directly as a percentage by weight referred to the dry mass (weight of dried wood). The following characteristic lines are recorded in the testo 606-2 moisture meter:
- For precise wood moisture measurement of: beech, spruce, larch, oak, pine and maple
- For the detection of areas of accumulation of moisture in the following building materials: sand-cement screed, concrete, gypsum, anhydrite screed, cement mortar, lime mortar and brick
